The service

What UX research actually gives you.

Research isn't a survey bolted onto the end of a project. Done properly, it's the material your product is designed from — a clear picture of who your users are, what they're trying to do, and where your product quietly gets in their way.

We run research in focused, practical formats: heuristic audits of your existing product, moderated user interviews, end-to-end journey maps, and usability tests on prototypes or live builds. Every format ends the same way — with synthesised findings and prioritised recommendations your team can act on immediately.

No hundred-page reports nobody reads. Findings are delivered as concise, visual documents designed to be argued with, shared and built on.

01 Problems It Solves

When research pays for itself.

?

You're building on assumptions

The roadmap is full, but nobody has spoken to a user in months. Research replaces internal opinions with observed behaviour.

?

Users drop off — and no one knows why

Analytics show where people leave, not why. Interviews and usability tests reveal the friction behind the numbers.

?

Every decision is a debate

When there's no shared picture of the user, design reviews become taste contests. Evidence gives the team something to agree on.

  • Usability testingModerated sessions on prototypes or live builds, observing where people hesitate, fail or give up.
  • Findings & recommendationsA synthesised, prioritised report — ranked by impact and effort, ready for your roadmap.
02 Process

How a research engagement runs.

01

Brief & plan

We agree on the research questions that matter, the user profiles to recruit and the right mix of methods for your budget and timeline.

02

Fieldwork

Interviews, audits or test sessions run over one to two weeks. You're welcome to observe any session — hearing users first-hand changes minds faster than any report.

03

Synthesis

Raw notes and recordings become patterns: themes, pain points, journeys and opportunity areas — organised by severity and frequency.

04

Report & roadmap

A findings presentation with your team, a written report, and a prioritised set of recommendations that feed straight into design or development planning.

03 FAQ

Common questions about UX research.

A standard engagement covers five to eight participants — enough to surface the dominant patterns in most products. For segmented audiences or statistically sensitive questions, we'll recommend a larger or multi-round program and quote it separately.
Yes — we handle screening and scheduling against an agreed participant profile. If you'd rather recruit from your own customer base, we can work with that list instead and adjust the scope accordingly.
Not at all. A UX audit or testing round is just as valuable on a live product — it often reveals quick wins you can ship without touching the underlying design. Research mid-cycle usually pays for itself faster than research at the start of a rebuild.
A UX audit runs about one week. Interview programs and testing rounds typically take two to three weeks including recruitment, fieldwork and synthesis. You'll get a confirmed timeline in the project proposal.
A findings report with evidence for every claim, journey maps or audit scoresheets as applicable, and a prioritised recommendation list ranked by impact and effort. We also walk your team through the findings in a live session.
