Privacy Policy
How Interfacedesignlab collects, uses and protects your personal information — in plain language.
Last updated: November 20261. Who we are
Interfacedesignlab is an independent UI/UX design studio based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through interfacedesignlab.net and in the course of our design work. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
2. What we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to you and deliver our services:
- Contact details — name, email address and phone number you provide via our contact form or by email.
- Project information — details you share about your product, business and requirements when enquiring or briefing us.
- Correspondence — records of our communications with you.
- Client materials — files, credentials and content you provide so we can deliver design work, handled strictly for that purpose.
This website does not run analytics or behavioural tracking. Technical details about cookies and local storage are covered in our Cookie Policy.
3. How we use it
- To respond to enquiries and prepare project proposals.
- To deliver design services and manage our working relationship.
- To issue invoices and maintain business records required by law.
- To send occasional follow-ups about a project we've worked on together — never unsolicited marketing lists.
4. What we don't do
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.
- We do not share your project details with third parties except where necessary to deliver the work (for example, a specialist subcontractor engaged with your knowledge).
- We do not publish your name, company or project as a case study without your written permission.
5. Third-party services
We use mainstream business tools for email, file storage and project management. These providers process limited data on our behalf under their own security and privacy frameworks. This site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser sending a standard request to Google's servers.
6. Data security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Enquiry and project information is kept only as long as needed for the engagement and our legal record-keeping obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
7. Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where legally permissible. To make a request, email interfacedesignlab@gmail.com — we'll respond within a reasonable timeframe.
If you believe we've mishandled your information, contact us first and we'll work to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version is always this page, with the revision date shown above.
