Terms & Conditions
The terms governing use of this website and engagement of Interfacedesignlab's design services.
Last updated: November 20261. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of interfacedesignlab.net and to design services provided by Interfacedesignlab ("we", "us", "our"), based in Sydney, NSW, Australia. By using this site or engaging our services, you accept these terms.
2. Website content
- Content on this site is general information about our services. It is not a binding offer, and prices shown are starting rates subject to a written quote.
- Project work shown in the portfolio is clearly marked as conceptual — self-initiated studio work demonstrating our approach, not claimed client engagements.
- All site content, branding and design are our property or used with permission. Don't reproduce them without written consent.
3. Quotes and engagement
Every engagement begins with a written proposal covering scope, deliverables, timeline, revision rounds and a fixed price in Australian dollars. Work commences only after you accept the proposal in writing and the initial invoice is paid. A project isn't confirmed until both are complete.
4. Payment
- Standard terms are 50% on commencement and 50% on final delivery, invoiced in AUD. Alternative milestone schedules may be agreed in the proposal.
- Prices on this site exclude GST where applicable; your quote will state clearly whether GST applies.
- Late payment may pause work. Final source files are released on receipt of final payment.
5. Scope and revisions
- Each package includes the revision rounds stated in your proposal. Requests outside the agreed scope are quoted separately before any additional work proceeds.
- Client-side delays in feedback or content supply may shift delivery dates; we'll communicate revised timelines promptly.
- Either party may pause or end an engagement with written notice. Completed work and costs incurred to that point remain payable.
6. Intellectual property
- On final payment, you receive full ownership of the final design deliverables created specifically for your project.
- We retain ownership of our working methods, reusable techniques and non-project-specific assets.
- We may display completed work in our portfolio unless we agree otherwise in writing — confidential or pre-launch work stays private by default.
7. Confidentiality
Information you share about your product, users or business is treated as confidential and used solely to deliver the agreed work. We're happy to formalise this under a mutual NDA on request.
8. Warranties and liability
- We warrant that our work will be performed with due care and skill, as required under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the ACL.
- To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to re-performing the services or refunding the fees paid for the affected work.
- We're not responsible for third-party platforms, hosting, development decisions or changes made to designs after handoff.
9. Third-party content and links
This site may reference third-party tools or link to external sites. We don't control and aren't responsible for their content or practices.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of NSW.
